New York, NY (RNN) Now that the dust is beginning to settle following the acquisition of PIXAR Studios by Disney, Inc. in a $7.4 billion stock deal, the newly reorganized animation team behind Toy Story 3 has decided that Woody and Buzz, in their next full length feature film, would be going in a new, a different direction – Toy Story 3: Toyback Mountain
In addition, the new PIXAR Toy Story team is pleased to report that prior to the official TS3 launch (currently slated for 2007), we can eagerly look forward to a series of DTV/DTD (direct-to-video / direct-to-dvd) animated shorts and mini-sequels to acclimate us to the various happenings between Woody and Buzz since we last saw them in Toy Story 2, including:
Toy Story 2 1/4 – Woody’s Wood Pecker
Toy Story 2 1/2 – Passion of the Woody
Toy Story 2 3/4 – Buzz Harder
All the favorite characters (i.e., Slinky, Rex the Dinosaur, Mr. Potato Head, etc.) are expected to return — including a now furious Lil Bo Peep; and word is voice casting has begun for the introduction of the new, innovative character, Bi-Curious George.
Remember: you heard it here first folks.
